Olympic freeskier Gus Kenworthy stopped by the CNN booth in Times Square on New Year's Eve to try and grab some kisses from Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper. Gus succeeded in getting a kiss from Griffin while Anderson told Kenworthy to wait until the commercial break.

The evening also marked a relationship milestone for Kenworthy as he went public with his boyfriend, actor Matthew Wilkas, whom he referred to in a November interview with Attitude magazine.

Said Kenworthy to Attitude in November:
“I have been seeing someone, but it's really new and it's not something I feel ready to have be a public thing. I think having a public relationship automatically puts a lot of pressure on the relationship immediately, and when you're first seeing someone it's just about getting to know the person, so you don't want to introduce someone as your boyfriend before it's had time to develop.”
“Who do you want to kiss for New Years?”, Griffin asked.
“Well I already kissed you but you're welcome to come find me again at midnight…..My boyfriend Matt's here with me,” he replied.
“Buzzkill!”, exclaimed Griffin.

Towleroad readers will recognize Wilkas as the star of the gay indie film Gayby or as Jonathan Groff's awkward date from the first episode of Looking, and from many of his hilarious short-form clips he posts to social media, a few of which we've shared here.
