Michael Cerveris too home the Tony Award last night for best performance by an actor in a leading role in a musical for his role as a closeted, suicidal father in “Fun Home” and closed out his acceptance speech with a nod to the Supreme Court's upcoming ruling on same-sex marriage.
“Fun Home,” a based on Alison Bechdel's memoir of the same name, took home the Tony for best musical. It's the first Broadway show to feature a lesbian protagonist. For the full list of winners, click here.
