Over the weekend, Steve posted about Iowa anti-gay leader Bob Vander Plaats' statement that homosexuality is a public health risk akin to smoking.
Igor Volsky of Think Progress asked Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), who was in Iowa, as I noted earlier, for a series of lectures with Vander Plaats' group The Family Leader, whether she agreed with those statements.
Bachmann wasn't exactly sure how to answer.

Also, more audio from Bachmann's appearance in Iowa, in which she says that God told her to introduce an anti-gay marriage amendment in Minnesota. She said that He came to her after Massachusetts legalized same-sex marriage:
"When that happened, I heard the news on my local Christian radio station in Minneapolis, St. Paul and I was devastated. And I took a walk and I just went to prayer and I said Lord, what would you have me do in the Minnesota state senate? And just through prayer I knew that I was to introduce the marriage amendment in Minnesota."
Bachmann also praised Iowans for removing pro-equaity judges, and called for stripping judges of power.
