Explore the Everglades
The image of an airboat through the Everglades may have been reduced to kitsch, but the subtropical wilderness in Miami's backyard is one of the most unique natural settings in America. The untouched splendor of the wetlands offers up countless animal encounters with birds, turtles, snakes and, of course, alligators. There are lots of trails to walk, bike or even take a guided tram, but, really, a ride on the iconic airboat is a must.
