The “exclusively gay moment” in Beauty and the Beast did little to dampen enthusiasm for the live-action version of Disney's classic fairytale – in fact, it did the opposite. The flick delivered a record-setting $170 million opening for the studio, the seventh largest domestic opening of all time.
