ENDORSEMENTS. Matt Damon endorses Hillary Clinton because of water: “She understands it from a number of different angles—as a national security issue, as a human rights issue, and, obviously, its impact on women and girls. This is not a partisan issue, which is one really good thing about it. We've talked in equal parts to Republican and Democratic senators and congressmen.”

GERMANY. Nation will overturn the convictions of gay men under a law criminalizing homosexuality: “Justice Minister Heiko Maas is to overturn the convictions and create a “right to compensation”. About 50,000 men were convicted between 1946 and 1969, under a 19th Century law that the Nazis had sharpened. Homosexuality was decriminalised in 1969, but the law continued to exist until 1994.”

NUMBER ONE. Azerbaijan ranked worst place to be gay in Europe: “Azerbaijan was ranked the worst place in Europe for LGBTI people to live, meeting only five per cent of a rights group's criteria for legal equality. A new report compiled by ILGA-Europe, an international non-governmental organisation, ranked 49 European countries basing scores on laws, policies and practices that affect LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex) individuals.”

Queen Elizabeth II caught on camera calling Chinese officials “very rude:” “During a garden party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, a pool cameraman working on behalf of British broadcasters filmed her discussing Xi's trip with Metropolitan police commander Lucy D'Orsi. Man stabbed in fight over viral YouTube goat video: “It started when the woman took to Facebook to post the video, which officers said is “about a goat named Kevin who was not nice to other goats in the video,” according to a police report about the incident…But the trouble started when Kevin Sullivan, the friend of the woman who posted the video, took offense. ‘Kevin Sullivan believed this to be a direct insult towards him, and meant that he was a bad father,' the report stated.”
