Adam Lambert has responded to a petition signed by almost 20,000 people which aimed to ban him from performing in Singapore on New Year's Eve.
With support from anti-gay activist group Focus on the Family, the petition urged the concert's organizers, the Government of Singapore, Esplanade Theatres on the Bay and others to stop Lambert from singing over concerns that Singaporeans be “affronted by lewd acts in the name of entertainment.”

Despite a claim that Lambert “has responded that he will be putting on a different show which is hopefully in better taste and shows greater restraint,” he is thought to be going ahead with his “The Original High” concert as planned.
A petition in support of Lambert has received almost 25,000 signatures.
