NASA's Orion spacecraft successfully rocketed from Cape Canaveral this morning at 7:05 am on a 4.5 hour uncrewed mission to test whether certain instruments – the craft's heat shield, parachutes, and other systems, can withstand the forces necessary to send astronauts to an asteroid, the Moon, and even Mars.
The launch was scrubbed yesterday due to high winds but made a beautiful sight this morning just as the sun was rising.
