Earlier I reported that three New York Senate Democrats — Joseph P. Addabbo Jr., Shirley L. Huntley of Queens and Carl Kruger of Brooklyn —had reversed their positions on marriage equality and said they would support a bill. Here is Senator Sampson making that announcement at a press conference earlier today, as well as remarks from the three Senators and openly gay Senator Tom Duane.

GOP Senator James Alesi also announced his support, bringing the measure to 30 votes, just two shy of passage.
