Orthodox Christians in Romania call on government to ban gay rights march scheduled for this Saturday. Church spokesman: “It is an affront to the morality of public institutions, and a danger … to the formation of young people.” Romania held its first gay pride march last year protected by 200 police officers, while skinheads taunted them and Orthodox Christians held up crosses. Homosexuality was de-criminalized in 2001 in an effort to facilitate that country’s entry into the European Union.
REPORT: More than 1 out of 5 gay men have biological children.
