Literary agent Rod Hall's murderer gets life in prison. Hall was the lit agent behind Billy Elliot and The Full Monty and was murdered during a sex session at his home. He had been involved in an ongoing relationship with the man who killed him.

Theories abound on why elderly men in Buffalo, New York continue to be arrested for lewd conduct in that city's Ellicott Creek Park. Nearly half of the gay men arrested in the last three years were near or over retirement age: “Thirteen of the 32 men arrested in the park…were older than 60, with six older than 70.” Professor: “A lot of middle-aged men, particularly men who are in heterosexual relationships, who are married with children, lived up to the expectations of society for years. Now that they're older, they're trying to take some of these opportunities, because their desire has become intense to have a homosexual relationship.”
The ACLU says gay inmates are being singled out for harassment at a Los Angeles County Jail. Gay inmates have reportedly been forced to remove their clothes in busy areas of the jail, called derogatory names, and taunted with sexual language. Sheriff spokesman: “If there is any truth to this, we will certainly act in the appropriate manner. Obviously, this is absolutely unacceptable. This flies in the face of everything the sheriff stands for — everything that the department stands for.”
Arizona gay rights advocates held a vigil outside the state capitol for Amancio Corrales, found slain in a shallow river three months ago.
