One pitiable reporter covering Hurricane Irene landed himself on a pier, in the middle of what may have been a literal sh*t-storm. The news station's chief meteorologist told the reporter that the angry brown froth coating his entire body and threatening to bury him alive was some sort of "organic matter" – maybe churned-up "plankton." But another news station in New York is reporting that the foam "was most likely the effects of raw sewage pouring into the water during the storm" – which lends credence to the reporter's claim that it "doesn't taste great."
